Who we are: Resident Artists

Michele Apriña Leavy

Actor

Michele Apriña Leavy has been a Resident Artist with Crowded Fire Theater since 2005 and continues to serve on the company’s Literary Committee. An actor, dancer, and choreographer, her bay area theatre credits include: American Conservatory Theater, Alameda Civic Ballet, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, BRAVA Theater Center, California Shakespeare Theater, Center Repertory Company, California Conservatory Theater, Livermore Shakespeare Festival, Marin Theatre Company, and TheatreWorks, among others. In farther locales, she has appeared with Theatre Key West (Florida), The Elephant Theatre Company (Los Angeles), and Theatre 167 (New York City). Michele is a Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Theater and Dance at the University of California, Davis. She is also a Steering Committee member of the Latinx Theater Commons, a national movement and flagship program of Howlround. Michele also serves on the I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) Committee of the Actor’s Reading Collective (ARC).
