Great food and cocktails with relaxed, laid back service. No reservations accepted.

Mikado Sushi 1684 Bryant Street (b/w 15th and 16th) $

Yummy sushi at reasonable prices. Try to get the booth!

Evergreen Garden (Vietnamese) 3100 18th Street $

Don’t be put off by the really weird décor, this place has some good food at great prices. Casual and laid back.

El Metate (Taqueria) 2406 Bryant Street (b/w 22nd and 23rd) $

One of the best Taquerias in the city, and the owner is super nice.

Blowfish Sushi $$
Check out the crazy and delicious appetizers. The atmosphere is uber-hip, mixing spectacle with good food. May be overload for some folks.

Sadie’s Flying Elephant 491 Potrero Ave (x street Mariposa) $

A favorite neighborhood dive, if you’re looking for a quick cheap drink, free popcorn, and a game of PacMan. They don’t serve food.

The Rite Spot 2099 Folsom St.at 17th St. $

Excellent dive bar. A favorite of our casts! Good food until 11pm.
