Crowded Fire is devoted to difficult art

Erin Gilley

After two great years of learning "the Biz" with Crowded Fire, I have left my position as Managing Director to take a new post in the artistic office of the Magic Theatre. However, I am still very much an active ensemble member of this indie theater company. As I continue to develop my skills as a director, actor, and designer, Crowded Fire has committed to provide me with creative challenges and opportunities along the way.

I joined this ensemble two years ago in the hopes of finding an artistic home among like-minded theater makers, lead by a strong vision to do pieces that are unique and cutting edge. I'm happy to say those things are starting to happen in a way that excites me and ensures my re-commitment to this special group.

I was recently featured in our Matchbox Reading Series in a play that had never before been read aloud. I worked with a great director, and was an integral voice in the shaping of this new piece. I'm currently working closely with Artistic Director, Kent Nicholson to develop and direct a new piece which will highlight my experimental video skills.
We're thinking of a project that incorporates technology into the narrative through gorgeous video projections and on-stage manipulation of sound and video devices. Plus, I may be designing in 2008.

Adopt me! By donating now to Crowded Fire, you are directly supporting my career goals and artistic growth.
